In our social enterprise, Kafe bar 16, on 31st of May we have organized Drop in Shelter’s 11th Birthday Anniversary. During the day programme, children enjoyed music and dance with our longtime friends from the GRUBB group. Guests were able to see the exhibition of photographs made by children from Drop in Shelter and see Belgrade through their lens. Photographs are result of workshops within the OkO ulice project organized by famous photographer Dragan Kujundzic.
As part of the evening programme, we had a premiere of a promotional film about our work, directed by Sever Zolak. The Drop in Shelter’s Birthday Anniversary was an opportunity to host our colleagues, associates, friends, donors and all those who support our work for more than a decade.
Over the past years, more than 1,000 children and young people instead spending their time on the streets they spend it in a safe place thanks to Drop in Shelter. Since 2007, Drop in Shelter has grown and is now a licensed service, recognized by the Law of Social Protection, located on two Municipalities in the city, but what has never changed is the attitude towards children and the responsibility towards them and their needs.
