Created as a way to support street involved children but also to raise awareness on their problems. This initiative is a joint project and cooperation between the Center for Youth Integration from Belgrade and AVVEJ-Rencontre 93 from Paris. Both organizations provide support to those in and share the same goals, ideas, mission and values.

In April this year, on the occasion of the 31st Belgrade marathon, the group of employees and beneficiaries from AVVEJ-Rencontre 93 visited Belgrade in order to start with our Kilometers for Solidarity Project together.

During their visit, besides running together, we were invited to the French Embassy at the invitation of His Excellency, Ambassador Frederick Mondoloni. During the reception at the residence we have emphasized that sport is one of the ways to overcome the boundaries and that in sport we are all the same.

This international cooperation between the two organizations continued in October when we have visited Paris and together with our hosts from AVVEJ-Rencontre 93 took part in Les 20 Kilometers
des Paris run. Together with the organization Secours Populaire France that coordinated the whole campaign regarding the run, we have gathered a large number of associates, beneficiaries, employees and all interested to run “kilometers for solidarity” for street involved children.

It was our honor to start another international cooperation with Secours Populaire France during our stay in Paris.

We have set up new goals for new projects and new kilometers for solidarity.
